World Rules
EXPERIENCE POINTS: The XP system uses
the gradual character leveling system that awards
experience every in-game hour. This means
characters level by time spent in the server,
damaged done to monsters when engaging encounters,
time spent role-playing a character, and quest
that are completed. A character that stands
around and does nothing will never gain
much. But, a character that is interactive
with other players, such as helping with quest,
role-playing character story lines, etc.
will level up much faster.
DEATH: Once your character dies, death is permanent
until resurrected. The penalty for death is a slow
erosion of your experience points until resurrected.
If you choose to respawn, you will be a ghost with
limited abilities but unlimited exploration freedom.
Resurrection spells carry a hard experience penalty.
A character can be truly lost if said character
perishes in an area that no players can ever reach,
so be careful with your lust for adventure.
STEALING: Thieves can be anywhere,
but any stolen items in the possession of a player
will fall to the ground once that player is either
dying or dead. A thief will always have issues
trying to keep stolen items a secret until they find
a way to sell the stolen goods.
PVP: Characters in the world can be
good, neutral, or evil. As such, conflicts and
attacks can occur when these forces meet.
The server has a karma system that will keep
track of such incidents. The more violence a player
commits against other players or NPCs, the more
likely a larger and larger gold bounty will be placed
to stop the character, dead or alive.
CUSTOM RULES: The server uses some
spell and feat modifications to help combat any bugs
in the core D&D 3.5 game system. Otherwise, a character
is free to level up in any way they see fit with any
skills or classes they desire. The server
tries to give maximum freedom to players
so more focus can be put into making the server fun
to both role-play or adventure in.
SUB-RACES: There are many races in
Orb of Abrogation. They are not simply
handed to you though, they are usually
achieved through quest or odd events that
may happen to the player.
CHEATERS: Yes, if you read this far,
maybe you've seen someone cheating.
Maybe you found an exploit and
want to help fix it. Contact the world
